Generally, each method of unrooting is associated with the way the android device was rooted. I recently showed people how to root using Kingroot(If you missed the article click here). So this article will be all about unrooting a kingroot-rooted Android device. The reasons for unrooting your andoid device are very many,,, of which they are disadvantages of rooting found here. The most common reason is that the android device is exposed to many security threats and software risks. When the android is rooted by kingroot, the kingroot app installed cannot be deleted as normal apps do. Even if the phone is factory reseted, the app still remain intact as other system. Before uninstalling it, you should deactivate it from Device Administrators. This is simply by clicking Settings > Security > Advanced Settings > Device Admnistrators > Kingroot > Deactivate(Tap the slide bar next to it) The easiest way to uninstall it hence, unrooting your android is by following the steps that follow:
  1. Open/Launch the Kingroot app
  2. select the menu icon and in the drop-down options select “Settings -> Uninstall Kingroot App”
  3. A pop-up message will appear that reads as removing the root app will make you lose root access. Select “Continue” option there.
  4. Again a confirmation message will pop up asking whether you wish to continue to uninstall Kingroot App or not. Select “OK” tab there.
  5. This will first trigger the unroot Android process followed by the uninstall process.
  6. The device will reboot(If not, do it manually) and, we are done!!
